The Old Man (FX) TV Show

Premiered last night. First two episodes up on Hulu now.

 

Just watched the both episodes. This show fucking rocks. Bridges and Lithgow are fantastic of course, but it's also always great to see Alia Shawkat in stuff.

 

So happy with this so far. Bridges is a treasure.

This is fantastic so far.

I'm like 95% sure Alia's character is Dan's daughter. I'm almost certain that was her voice on the phone in the first episode.

 

Thought the same thing. Not sure why I noticed or why it’d matter, but Jeff Bridges calling his daughter kiddo and Lithgow calling her kiddo too seemed interesting. Also, she did say she was dead but maybe that’s a swerve? Maybe the convos are in Bridges’ head?

 

This show is exceptional!

 

Totally thought this was a one-time limited series.

Unfortunately thought last night's episode was a huge drop-off from the first 3.

 

Anyone still watching? Dragging a bit but only two episodes left and it got renewed already so I'm expecting it to pick back up. Let's see.

 

Still watching, but yeah, the last two episodes were major step downs from the first three. I feel like it completely turned into a different show.

 

Still watching as well, but I feel about the same. This is back to "should have just been a movie" territory for me.

 

I gave up halfway into ep4. May binge the remaining when they're all out. I dunno.

 

I just listened to Jeff Bridges on Smartless and now I need to check this out.

But anyway, VI had a good second half at least...interested in the finale.
