I still hear that song on the radio in Toronto frequently

 

New album is "basically done" and they had a single scheduled to be released, and then quarantine hit and the album is on hold at the moment

 

I hope the album rips

 

Holy shit I did not realize that they haven't released an album in 8 years

 

Wild it’s been 8 years. Is this their longest gap between albums now after Splinter -> R&F?

 

It is. We had five years between Splinter and Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.

 

They've been saying it's almost done for so long. I just want new music haha.

 

I just hope they’ve decided to skip the joke songs this time around.

As dumb as that song is, it's catchy af hahaha

 

I dig that song, used to bump it with my friends all the time and laugh

 

splinter gave us the line 'my girlfriend, my dumb donut.'
therefore splinter wins.

(i currently call my gf my sweet donut because of this.)

 

When You're In Prison takes the cake for the worst joke song, no contest

 

Their Bad Religion covers are the shit. Also, I think Splinter is my second favorite of theirs. Ixny on the Hombre has been numero uno for me since I was a kid though.

They desperately need to remaster Americana too. Loved it as a kid, but as my ear for music became sharper I continue finding it incredibly difficult to listen to. Those vocals are ROOOUUUGH.

 

I have severely low expectations for a new Offspring album, so anything they release that doesn't suck would be nice.

 

Honestly think that Days Go By has like 4-5 pretty good songs

 

I remember when Rise And Fall came out and being worried that I wouldn’t like this band anymore and that was 12 years ago....that album did have some bangers on it!

 

Rise and Fall was GREAT, Days Go By however I barely remember

 

Days Go By had about two or three rippers, three or four more good songs and then the rest were pretty meh or just downright bad.

Bumping in My Trunk was terrible, but from memory the band were pretty honest about it being a joke song IIRC.
