I'm excited for this. Each album has some clunkers but every album has plenty of hits. I liked the last one, SUE ME
Make It All Right is out on YouTube in Australia for those with a VPN. Pretty poppy song, but production wise much better than what Rock did to their last records
Ah darn, I was hoping they'd employ the seven filters they used on Dexter's voice on This Is Not Utopia all over this album
I'm facebook friends with Jason "Blackball" McClean (the Keep Em Separated guy) who is a long time friend of the band, and he said he has heard the whole album and that there are no skippable tracks, and the drums are the best they've been on any album. I'll hold him to that haha
Production on this is miles better than the last few albums. Dexter sounds great here and the song is a straight up 00's nostalgia trip.
Alright, I’ll cast my cynicism aside and be excited for a potentially good record. These guys have always put out solid songs.
Pre-ordered the signed Limited Edition Iridescent Blue vinyl. I will now have Mr. Spock III's autograph haha
Remember when we had to wait nine years for a 12-track Offspring album that included a single that had been out for six years, two short instrumentals/interludes, and a cover of one of their songs from 20+ years prior? If the ten tracks on Supercharged are REAL songs, it's going to feel like a double album!
I think I've turned into an Offspring hater, but the drums at the beginning I am really not feeling, the female vocal hook sounds distinctly like it's trying to ape Pretty Fly For A White Guy, and in general it's just so edgeless. Been struggling to think of the right comparison, but it's like modern-day Simpsons compared to the classic era.
I agree with all this but to hope for The Offspring to do anything but this is at this point in time is madness haha. Just give us another solid album like Rise/Fall, is all I ask.
