It's most definitely meant sarcasticly. They have done it in the past too. Take a look at Noodles Twitter account, he has been critical of all things Republican and making fun of them for quite some time.
I'm not sure anybody on Chorus.FM actually likes music. Every single thread I go into is all about this bands sucks, this song sucks, this album is bad.
Not sure if it's just me but all I got from that video was something something social media something something pandemic
Well, the last video they made had strippers, monkeys and John Stamos, so I think this is actually a step up from that, having some semblance of a theme... The actually made onto the cover of one of Germany's longest running and most widely read music magazines this months. Complete with band retrospective and interview over 8 pages and a really rather positive review of the new album. First time this magazine gave them a good review since CoO. Apparently full of hits and a pretty sappy version of Gone Away. I translated the review below for anyone interested.
Yup. But apparently a really cheesy one when recorded. Or the reviewer was emotionally crippled. Which is quite plausible, he was German after after all.
Honestly I like this more than many of the joke songs they've released Dexter thought the world had to hear the genius of "Cruisin California" but this one was stuck in the vault?
I much prefer Cruisin' California to this hahaha. Although I will say this song is better than whatever OC Guns is.
Read in an Interview with Dexter in a German magazine that someone in their former management hated We Never Have Sex Anymore and they kept it in the vault due to that. And that they apparently working on a French version too.
Think they said in the run-up to Days Go By that some of the songs on that album started life as Splinter demos (I would guess "Hurting as One" is definitely one of those) EDIT: I honestly don't mind the new song with the caveat that Dexter really straining to hit some of those high notes is distracting.
Guess 3 songs have been released in some form already. And Hassan Chop apparently has a guitar riff that pre-dates the band itself.
