I don’t get the complaints. My vinyl copy from Sam’s Club sounds nice and quiet.

I can't find anything about the others, but Dicky infamously is and Pete left The Offspring over it - but that was less "anti-vax" and more to do with a personal health condition.

But the name "The Defiant"... given the context... naaaahhh.

 

Doesn't mention it in the article but there is additional percussion by those dudes that wouldn’t move their illegally parked boat, jumped a security guard over it, and then got their asses kicked.

 

I was worried I’d actually like this, but happy to report this stinks

In better news, I went to the Offspring tour a few nights ago and it was a fucking blast. Simple Plan was really fun and it was nice to check them off my list of pop-punk bands that I've seen live, Sum 41 fucking blew everyone else off the stage like they always do, and the Offspring were really fun, and so much better live than I remembered from the last time I saw them like 10 years ago

To be fair, a lot of the things that held up the recording/release of LTBTR are mostly cleared up now. (Greg K. lawsuit I believe was settled out of court, now having a record label contract, and covid and it's related restrictions pretty much done, etc)

It feels entirely possible that we'll have a new Offspring album this year. Really hoping for something at least on the level of RFRG.
