I don't think there was a lot of talk for Cry Pretty around here, but it's loaded with (I think) her career-best vocal performances.

 

Not exactly country, but the new solo album from Trampled By Turtles front man Dave Simonett Red Tail is really, really good. 8 songs, pretty mellow overall, but it's basically exactly what I need right now.

Anybody else check out the Lilly Hiatt album that came out today? She is so underrated and seems to get better with every album. I wouldn’t say she is exactly country, more of an americana or alt-country similar to Lucinda Williams.
