It is definitely on the album. This is just what country labels do with artists (especially women) that haven’t had a big hit yet. The Tenille Townes record has been done for 18 months.
It’s such a weird thing. They had all this buzz and multiple big tours that they could have used to promote and sell the record. Can’t figure out what the strategy is. Four singles and no album announcement is something that should never, ever happen.
If your a fan of the first couple Sturgill albums, or just 70s outlaw country in general, I recommend checking out this new album from The Lonesome Billies.
New Steve Moakler album out in January, called Blue Jeans. He's releasing a handful of songs every couple months in the lead-up to it, starting next week. Steve Moakler - Blue Jeans
Not out until next year but he apparently produced the new Dawes record. Plus, I thought he did the Highwomen album.
Yeah, it's just out of date. Off the top of my head, he's done records for The Highwomen, Ian Noe, Chris Shiflett, Randy Rogers Band, and Dylan LeBlanc. Probably a few others too.
AllMusic usually does a pretty good job of tracking production credits and such. I think this list is mostly comprehensive: Dave Cobb | Credits | AllMusic
Yeah, that song and "The World Keeps Spinning" are both about her older sister, who I believe died of a heroin overdose early this year.
Also, this might be worse than the Zac Brown Band album: The song "Swayze" is up there with the worst songs ever.
Wow. He was never the most talented person, but I liked his music. This is honestly kinda tough to watch.
