New Joy Williams album "Front Porch" coming in 2019. She worked with Caitlyn Smith, Natalie Hemby, Liz Rose and others on it: Joy Williams Sings ‘The Trouble With Wanting’ Off New Album – Rolling Stone Live version of new song "The Trouble With Wanting" sounds very promising
I’ve been really into this new album by Gold Star. Anybody that’s a fan of Ryan Adams would probably enjoy this, it has a pretty heavy RA influence in my opinion.
I gambled on Ruston Kelly figuring if Kacey can write a trippy country albums then this guy must be good as well. Holy Smokes, I'm impressed.
Welcome to the light my friend. And after you finish playing this on repeat come back and we'll steer you even deeper down the rabbit hole.
The Kenny Chesney album isn't great because well it's a Kenny Chesney album, but because it's a Kenny Chesney album it also has some undeniable bangers on it
I actually like the Kenny album a fair amount. More than I thought I would. Seems more stripped down and honest than most of his stuff. Plus, there's a Travis Meadows song on it.
I don't think they are bad objectively, he just always makes too many songs I personally can't stand, haha.
I’m excited to see this band open for Darlingside this weekend. I get the feeling they’re gonna be very good live Side note: for anyone into indie folk who hasn’t heard Darlingside’s most recent album, definitely give that a listen
Brother if this is wrong I don't want to be light I love Faceplant, Blackout, and Paratrooper's Battlecry.
Very excited to see Donovan Woods a week from today at the coolest venue in Michigan. Probably still top 5 of the year for me
I didn't play that record at all for the entire summer, for obvious reasons. Brought it back out this week with the cooler weather, though, and it's still so good.
Big Fan of that Woods record. Sang me to sleep many nights. I've been huge on the latest Jeffrey Martin record. Not exactly country but I think someone posted it in the Singer/Songwriter Thread. For Reference:
Anyone heard this new record from Zack Logan? Seems like something people in here would dig. Very Isbell/Prine-ish.
