I'm sure it has came up before in here, but I just binged Tales from the Tour Bus, the new Mike Judge show on Cinemax. Super fun watch and a great history lesson for the genre.

 

Finally got around to that new Sarah Shook album and it's good as hell.

 

Just copped the new Steve Moakler. Damn this is a great summer album. Love it.

 

This new Dan + Shay album is great; just fun pop-country vibes

 

Anybody else heard this album by John Calvin Abney? I’ve never heard of him before, but apparently he’s been performing as John Morelands side man for a while. Good stuff.

 

Oh yeah, this was pretty good. I listened on Spotify the day it came out and liked it, but haven't remembered to revisit.

 

Yeah I really enjoyed it. I actually saw Ryan Culwell tweet about him and that’s what got me to check it out. Surprised I hadn’t heard anything else about him.

@CellarGhosts you see Derik Hultquist has some new tunes? I'm confused by the structure though. There's 2 new 5 song eps, but both are labeled Vol 1, not Vol 1 and Vol 2. Not quite finished yet but they appear to all be acoustic songs.

 

I’m really digging the new Cody Jinks songs. I’m super excited for the full record. I think it’s shaping up better than I’m Not The Devil. His cover of Wish You Were Here is fantastic as well.

 

Alright, I'm confused - I've seen mention a bunch of times about Ruston Kelly's EP and how good it is, but all I'm finding from him is Halloween from 2016 with 10 songs on it. Is this the EP people are talking about...?

 

Yeah, but those aren’t 10 full tracks. Only 6 of them are actually songs.

Halloween is good, but his new album is miraculous. Y’all are in for a treat.

 

They’re like random interludes. One is the sound of rain, another is a record of some sort playing, another is a recording of him playing songs from another room.

 

Oh okay. I'm hoping to be able to give it a listen tonight. Craig talking about his new album has me pretty hyped to dive into this guy's music.

 

Haven't seen those yet, gonna have to check it out though!
