Going to hardly strictly bluegrass next weekend, and the line-up is pretty great (Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2017). Best of all it's free!
Been really enjoying this guy Evan Bartels new album lately. It's got a bit of a Springsteen Nebraska vibe.
It is, but for some reason it isn't available for stream on Spotify or Apple Music right now. Hoping it gets added soon. I believe it's available on iTunes.
Speaking of Maren Morris, if you like her album, you might like the new Carly Pearce record. First Listen: Carly Pearce, 'Every Little Thing'
I wonder if he'll come over to the uk with her next month, there's not a support announced yet (as far as I'm aware). I'm proper looking forward to that gig, it'll be my first country show since getting into the genre. Let me know how the show goes tonight.
It's her first show since Vegas and she had the number one song on iTunes yesterday with "Dear Hate," which I'm betting she plays tonight. I have a feeling it's going to be a special show.
Oh I didn’t realise that, I’m sure it’ll be a pretty emotional show for her then. Hope you have a great time.
It was a really cool show. It was the first night of this tour, so she was doing some different things than she's done at other shows. Got a great cover of "Angel of Montgomery," a new song called "Flavor," a cover of "Won't Back Down," and then she closed with "Dear Hate," which was really powerful. Ryan Hurd was...not great. My main complaint is that she didn't play "I Wish I Was," which I think is her best song.
Sounds like you had a great time. I really like Dear Hate so I’m glad she’s added that to the set. I’d love it if she continues the Petty cover for her uk shows too.
So Hardly Strictly was a lot of fun. First time seeing First Aid Kit live and they were great. Third time seeing Brandi Carlile, and she was incredible as always. Her and the twins are an incredible trio; it was an acoustic set just the 3 of them. I'd highly highly recommend seeing her live. One of the best live performers I've seen. Justin Townes Earle was a bit of a disappointment, but I also didn't know that much of his music going into the performance. Sam Outlaw was solid.
