He's always had these weird exclusive deals with retailers. For a while you could only buy his CDs from Walmart. Then he had a deal with Target. Last year he even released a box set exclusively available at Bass Pro Shop of all places

I'm guessing he was able to get Amazon to pay a fee that outweighed what he would get from streaming across all other services

 

I had zero clue there was a new Ashley Monroe album this past Friday but whoah it’s awesome. So sonically adventurous in a way I never expected from her. Sounds totally reinvigorated as an artist. The mid-album lo-fi cover made me double-take.

Album also has my guitar solo of the year so far.

 

Country-ish artist T. Hardy Morris put out a new one and it’s as great as the previous 4 LPs. Produced by the guitarist for My Morning Jacket Carl Broemel.

One of the better first listens I've had in a while for an album I had zero expectations for. Dreamy like a Kacey Musgraves album.

 

This new Molly Tuttle album is terrific. Highly recommended.

 

Might be a hot take but it's on my AOTY shortlist with Turnpike, Tyler, and Kat Hasty
