Are we just putting our songs here in the thread? I can’t seem to add them to the actual playlist. I’m an Apple Music guy so maybe I’m missing something
It should be a collaborative playlist for anyone with a Spotify account! Send your picks to the thread if you don’t have the ability to add it.
Would add: Evan Bartels - The Highway William Beckmann - Game I Like to Play Kashus Culpepper - Man of His Word
Evan Bartels is so good. I was going to add Lula but we probably don’t need multiple songs from 1 artist in the playlist
I tried adding songs and it won't let me either. My additions, one song from each of my top five favorite albums of the year so far + two others I've had on repeat: Heaven Passing Through - Turnpike Troubadours Kalispell - Kat Hasty The River Knows - The Steeldrivers Hittin' My Stride - Muscadine Bloodline Rituals - Watchhouse Lonely Mountain Town - Charles Wesley Godwin Alone? - Cole Chaney
glad to hear it! I think Jason's playlist embed code autoshortens something that's essential to collab playlists
Major Don Henley vibes. I really enjoy this, even if it’s about five songs (and one cover) too long. @Craig Manning I forget if you saw this but I think you’d be into this.
I have heard it! I liked Charles' first solo album too; a cool cover of Petty's "Southern Accents" with Stevie Nicks, and his take on the Donovan Woods song "Leaving Nashville," which is excellent. I really dig the vibe he's going for on this album, and a lot of it is great. I'm particularly taken with "Take Back Goodbye," which is on my summer mix for the year. I agree that it's too long and loses steam toward the end, though. Can we have a forever moratorium on "Time After Time" covers? Just one of the most overdone songs out there. It's weird, because I felt like him plucking "Here with Me" off the underrated fourth Killers album was an inspired cover choice, especially considering the sonic style of this album.
