Have any of you guys been to Lubbock, TX before? I’m heading there for Turnpike + Shane Smith as part of my US trip in Sept but I have no freakin idea about where to stay there. Appreciate any tips!

Seeing Stephen Wilson Jr live tomorrow night here in Oslo - so stoked! They had to upgrade the venue two months ago due to ticket demand. He has a big US tour lined up this fall too; amazing to see even after almost two years from the release of his debut album, he’s still seeing huge demand for tours.

 

I just bought tickets last night to see him in a few months. I’m so stoked.

Damn both of you for getting to see SWJ! Sadly it doesn't line up for me to see him in Sept when I'm in the US. He's one of the only people on my list that I'm not getting to see.

 

My guess is an album of unreleased songs - especially if Oneida is coming too. A new album with Grindstone smack in the middle would be weird imo lol.

 

Sure seems like it's an album of unreleased songs. I like the organ on Grindstone, but daddy didn't "mess up" his back... HE FUCKED UP HIS BACK!

highly recommend everyone check out the cactus blossoms live if they're coming to your town....they seem to always play the same size venues here and they deserve to be bigger. the curse of consistency I guess. anyway they are great live.

 

What do you say we kick this off with everyone contributing 10 songs from the first half of 2025? Can be your favorites or just songs/artists you feel people need to hear...

Yeah it’s really really great. “Sons of the Second Sons” probably my favorite after a few listens.
