what a week for releases! I hadn't heard Red Clay Strays before, but this album is absolutely phenomenal. I really like the new American Aquarium album too. as it played, I was ready to pronounce it the best album they've ever made, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't lose me with a couple of the slower songs towards the end. still a great album though. Cherokee Purples is a hell of a song and I have no idea what the hell a Cherokee Purple even is! haha
Red Clay Strays album is fun, bet they’d be a blast to see live, but unfortunately the closest they’re coming to the bay is Anaheim
Looking forward to diving into the new Michigan Rattlers one and Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters
Yes. There’s definitely some of that but I think they have more depth/range beyond those moments. I really enjoy them.
I interviewed Lainey Wilson! She’s also this week’s cover artist on The Music, which is very cool :) I forgot to share my interview with Carly Pearce in here recently, so I’m linking that one too: Lainey Wilson Has Never Been In It For The Awards: ‘I Want To Feel Something & I Want People To Feel Something’ On 'Hummingbird', Carly Pearce Pokes Fun At Things That Once Kept Her 'In Bed For Days’
Muscadine Bloodline album is absolutely incredible! I've only had the chance to listen to it twice but I absolutely loved it. every song is fantastic
the songs previously mentioned are great, but I also gotta give a shout out to "Airport & McGregor" too really the whole thing is fantastic though
Wyatt Flores' official debut album is "coming soon". Dumb that they announced the album without giving a release date.
Late to the game but Stephen Wilson Jr's Son of Dead is absolutely flooring me. It's like Sun Kil Moon and Springstreen made a country record.
