This guy reminds me of Charles Wesley Godwin style wise but I swear his voice has a little bit of Tyler Childers in it
Ive seen all 3, but none of them recently. Cobb was great. Lane was fun, but I’m not a huge fan. Combs was really good back then, but his sound has changed a lot since then so I wouldn’t know what to expect anymore. I’m not big on his recent material. Funny enough, when I saw Cobb, Childers was opening for him and I remember thinking “this guy could def learn something from Brent Cobb from a performer standpoint”. Obviously things have changed a ton since then lol.
i wouldn't say this fits necessarily here as it's more americana/blues/mayer born and raised era stuff than country, but the singer songwriter thread is MIA so this is the closest place. have been following dude on IG a while now but his music is so good. i feel like being Canadian is the only thing holding him back from blowing up here, despite the mayer co-sign. i feel like everyone here would be able to find something to dig from this album. edit: lol I can't figure out how to just get one song to embed. sometimes you lie is the one I was trying to share but the whole album is good
Can't wait for that record. I still adore her first one, and she had (IMO) the best song on the Highwomen album.
Hell yeah. Jeff Crosby is my man. Idaho is not exactly a hotbed of music so nice to see him getting a little promotion on here.
Stumbled up on this one recently and haven’t been really enjoying it. RIYL Gram Parsons, Emmy Lou Harris, some of the Twangier Band of Horses tunes.
For any Gabe Lee fans in here. Song is on Vinnie Paolizzi's new EP, which is worth listening to as well
The new Dori Freeman album is probably her best yet. Also enjoying the new Riddy Arman that was released yesterday, and the new Charles Wesley Godwin tune. Looks like his new album comes out in November. After a subpar first half of the year for country music, the second half has been nonstop with really good stuff.
