i didn't start watching live until season 4/5 so this is new news to me. i wonder if the podcast will talk about it at all when they get to the episode. i wonder if the network had an issue with it so they had to change it (would be my assumption)
I started near the end of 3. Which I why I think it was Beach Games. I think that’s the only one that would fit a topless talking head due to bathing suit talk or some such as the context of it.
It definitely would have been the Beach Day episode, but that aired a loooong time ago and I don't remember. You should submit it as a question to the podcast.
Maybe, but I kind of would feel like a skeeze to email in, “um hi. I remember boobs on TV. How did this happen? Talk about boobs.” Haha but they have talked about it and how her dad wrote her that letter. But still haha
you could maybe phrase it as a question regarding how lax (or more strict) the network became? Like, did it cause any issues with what was written or what was originally shot for a scene that they had to redo and then reference that as something that seems like it was changed after the original airing? That way it’s less skeezy lol
Hey Pam, all this stuff with Kevin... um, it's pretty scary. And I'm thinking that uh, next time you're in the shower, you should check yourself out. You know, give yourself an exam. Those things are like ticking time bags. Alright? Think about it.
every so often, a line i know from an episode i've seen a hundred times just hits me different and i crack up. last night i was watching the episode where they do meredith's intervention, "we could do it february 2nd" "would you really want to do that on groundhogs day?" "no..i celebrate privately" had me dying lol
Still listening, but how many times are they going to say "we have a question from (name), was this improv or scripted?" 9.5/10 times in scripted.
I haven't listened yet, but The Injury is one of my favorite episodes. SO many good lines. I remember the first time I heard the line about going to Chuck E. Cheese, I laughed so hard I cried. I actually got a concussion at Chuck E. Cheese when I was a kid. I also love occasionally trying to slip Michael's monologue about waking to the smell of bacon into a normal conversation. You can't fire me; I don't work in this van! Ryan, who is supposed to be dead! I want you to rub butter on my foot. Pam, please, I have Country Crock. Last time I watched this episode (so last week after I watched Booze Cruise along with the podcast) I noticed when Dwight is getting the scan at the end, Michael touches Dwight's foot/sock and then smells his hand. Thank you, Mindy Kaling for this gold episode
and one thing I've always wondered that I plan on emailing the ladies about: In the later seasons when they're in Florida and Jim has to be Ryan's mom, is that really what his mom sounds like? I've seen that John and B.J. graduated from the same HS the same year, so I'm assuming they might have known each other, maybe John knew his mom too. It's just the way Jim starts the voice, and then changes it like he's trying to get it right.
been listening to the Office Ladies podcast, and, while i love both of them and find it mildly entertaining, for those who have kept up with it, do they get better at being podcast'ers? lol every episode starts off the same way "this episode is _______ and its one of my faavorite episodes" then they rattle of random facts for a minute and then go on a 39 minute tangent on stuff completely unrelated to the episode and then circle back and explain the premise of the episode then it ends. i want to keep with it but, i just find myself skipping ahead to see if they actually start talking about the episode again lol
I mean the more recent episodes with the guests have been really good - they've found their groove I think. I look forward to it every Wednesday
