Is that the “Money” episode where Jim and Pam stay at the farm? Pretty sure that’s my favorite episode.
Lots of hilarious moments in that one but what’s forgotten a lot are the emotionally touching scenes and the cinematography in particular is fantastic.
On my run today I discovered a dingy bar in a shitty neighborhood called Poor Richard’s!!!!! Might, miiiiiight have to stop in with coworkers next week. Currently in Milwaukee there is a pop up bar of The Office (like, it’s a bar but replicating The Office of The Office) with so much awesome detail. The women’s rest room even has the “pervert mustache” on the mirror from season 3 when Phyllis gets flashed.
so at work for Halloween this year we're doing individual costumes but a large group of us are doing The Office and I've received the very high praise of being selected to lead as Michael Scott. It'd be easier to be Andy (or Jim or Dwight) but this should be fun. aiming to try and find a woman's suit similar to the MISSterious one he wears, throw in Prison Mike and Date Mike here and there and now I've got a month to decide my favorite Michael Scott quotes and lines of dialogue to say throughout the day. i go all out for Halloween so i will be getting my hair cut and dyed the same color as Michael for authenticity. lots of work ahead of me.
so a girl at work signed up to be Angela about 30 seconds after i sent the email out asking if anyone wanted to join our group and i find out yesterday that she doesn't like the show ("i watched a few episode and i didn't get it") and "felt pressured" by new coworkers to pick someone. so i passively aggressively sent an email out to the group (with a Dunder Mifflin header of course) indicating that we take Halloween seriously in this office and that we'd be having Office trivia and other games going on to win Schrute Bucks and other prizes so you either have 30 days to brush up on your knowledge or kindly back out. who the hell signs up to be a character of something they've never seen?
not gonna lie, my response was done with a pinch of Michael Scott in mind. but why would someone volunteer to dress up like someone they have no knowledge of? that doesn't seem like it would be fun. if people were dressing up / acting like characters from IASIP or a different show i haven't seen i wouldn't sign up because i'd have no idea what i'm doing
Bumping this thread made me realize while watching “Grief Counseling” the other day that the show mentions Million Dollar Baby twice (Pam uses it as her grief story in the group)m and in season 4 after Michael finishes The Devil Wears Prada he starts watching this) and Hillary Swank three times (these two and the episode where they decide if she’s hot or not). What a seemingly random movie to mention twice.
Someone carry beets. Someone be 3 hole punch Jim. Someone hold a cat. Someone carry the painting of the office. Someone carry a jar of M&Ms. Someone carry a scented candle. I could keep going, but are those even on the right track?
Someone carry a stapler in jello is there an Asian guy in the wedding? Because Asian Jim is the best cold open in the show lol
I think we’re def gonna make some stapler jello. Sadly our wedding party isn’t very diverse, otherwise that would be perfect haha
