Michael: what’s so funny? Pam: you had to be there Michael: oh, okay. A geography joke. Great cold open in general. Michael eating an entire family size chicken pot pie and then falling asleep lol
Same. “Whoaaaa, easy girl!” And then mentioning how the horse he healed won the race and then came in 3rd the next year in the jerky competition lol
Just watched this underrated gem of a line by Michael: *on his cell phone* “well if he doesn’t like it you can tell that SOB that he is fired. Sorry, I’m going into a meeting right now. I love you too.”
Holy fuck I forgot how great the stakeout scene is with Dwight and Toby trying to catch Darryl for workers comp. Toby getting pissed and yelling “hey asshole” at his sister by mistake and then Dwight hitting the garbage cans my god lol
Love this quick gem: Jim: “is there something about being a manager that makes you say stupid things?” Michael: “I have not found that to be the case.”
I think the best part is that like 5 minutes later when Michael speed walks to Jim’s office and everyone is yelling different things at him you can hear Kevin ask it again lol
Seriously, one the best awkward / cringe moments is Jim’s “let’s rewind” moment after he tells everyone that only sales will be getting raises. It’s so fucking un-Jim like and so Michael in every way
goddamn is "The Lover" a great episode. for as much shit as season 6 (rightfully) gets, it still has some amazing moments. - the song Dwight sings to Michael and the hand motions when Michael wants him to give him the chills ("there's egg on your face and the blood is rushing down, rushing down" or whatever the fuck the lyrics are lol) - Jim's absolute freakout at learning Michael is dating Pam's mom - and then when Toby walks in and says hi and Jim snaps at him lol - Pam's dawning realization that Michael is dating her mom great, great moments.
I believe it’s “there an egg on your head and the yolk is rushing down....there’s a knife in your back and the blood is gushing down” lol
yes! that is it exactly. i was too lazy to rewind to get it exactly. not sure if the actual lyrics or my mix up of them is more bizarre haha. i also wonder - how many times has Dwight sang that for Michael? Michael specifically requested it
I imagine that, given Michael’s propensity for putting himself and stressful and compromising situations, he’s probably done that a lot for him
Robert California and that version of Nelly were obnoxious and unfunny. They did a character you love to hate perfectly with Charles, but completely missed the mark on both of those for all of season eight. Luckily he left and Nelly kind of became alright in season nine.
