currently rewatching Michael's Last Dundies, and he gives Stanley the diabetes award, and when he's walking up he goes "come on up here you sick bastard."
It was the first episode to air after the WGA strike ended and I remember reading either the showrunner or a producer hyping it up, saying it was the best table read the cast and writers ever had, which happened to occur before the strike started.
Dinner Party is top 3 for me, but if you’re not down with uncomfortable situations that is NOT the episode for you lol.
I actually think Michael’s date with Pam’s landlord in The Chair Model might be his most uncomfortable moment
That one's definitely up there too. In some ways it's even worse because it's Michael just being a straight up asshole as opposed to a well-intentioned but naïve goof in Tots.
I haven't gotten to the episode yet, but I'm already having some ideas about what Scott's Tots is going to be like. I'm guessing something like the beauty pageant in that It's Always Sunny episode lol. But yeah, I'm someone who easily feels uncomfortable in situations like that on TV, or I'm really good at feeling embarrassed for TV characters heh.
I can't watch Scotts Tots without cringing and feeling awkward/uncomfortable the entire time. I actually skip it a lot of times because I just don't wanna get in that mood lol
I thought it was more stupid than uncomfortable, tbh. I was already on team “this show has changed for the worse” by that point so it was just another weaker episode to me.
The "when did the show get bad/when did the show start to go downhill/etc." thing around here is exhausting lol
I'm two episodes away from the end of S4 and it's remained strong for me so far, we'll see how the next 5 seasons go for me I guess lol
I really don't get the "should've ended after 3 seasons" thing cause there's too many great things after that. I'm not too worried about a show needing to be perfect lol
Every time I’ve done a rewatch, my wife and I always get really bored with season 6. That’s the one season we start really skipping episodes. “Scott’s Tots” is one of them. First time I watched it I remember thinking “I don’t want to watch this one again.” So yeah. Season six is my least favorite. It’s so...aimless. Feels like the show is just drifting. Season 5 has the Michael Scott Paper Company, season 7 has Michael’s goodbye arc and the return of Holly, season 8 is awful but in a kind of fascinating way and it has Florida Stanley, and I’ve made my feelings known about season 9. Season 6 just...I don’t know. That is simply my least favorite season.
