David Wallace isn't really funny in and of himself, mostly as a combination of foil/friend to Michael also Todd Packer can be more obnoxious than funny but he's not really main
364 more days til the next pretzel day. Stanley was pretty gold most of the series. His only flaw was the "shove it up your butt" gimmick. That got dumb.
Yeah, fortunately, they didn't run that into the ground too badly, but it wasn't that funny the few times they used it.
i think my favorite David Wallace moment (not that there are a lot) is when Michael leaves his house after he loses his job and tells Michael about "Suck It" and he just slowly follows the car with a small wave as Michael reverses out of the driveway scared to death about what has become of Wallace
i think for the secondary characters, there was always that fine line - how much is too much and usually they used them to just the right amount.
Creed is the best example of that, they easily could have overdone him but they did a great job of using him just a little bit each episode.
I love it when Creed takes over Michael's old office and tells Jordan to call their biggest clients only to be talking to Pam the entire time.
Lately I've been reminded of when Creed wants to do a cartwheel. Then Erin does one and.... "fuck you, fuck you!"
goddamn i could watch that moment on an endless loop and never not laugh till i cry. i think anytime the characters swear i just about die. * the terrific moment mentioned above * Jim when he asks Michael what kind of car Pam's mom drives and he answers correctly and Jim's instantaneous "shit". * Dwight when he's talking to the bridesmaid from JP's wedding during "Date Night" at that restaurant and suddenly finds Angela behind him and jumps with a "fuck" they're all just so gloriously unexpected.
That episode with Creed cursing at Erin ("Ultimatum" from season seven) is one of the best episodes, post season five. #hottake
The scene where Angela scares Dwight is one of the funniest moments of the series imo. Just the way he flinches and looks absolutely terrified and goes "FUCK"
Just finished my rewatch with my wife (her first time seeing the series) and man, those last 2 episodes were so good that you can forgive the messy S8 and most of S9. They nailed the ending so beautifully. AARM in particular is just a fantastic episode.
after Michael's first line in the penultimate episode (even just when we see him) i remember gasping and smiling (and then dying of laughter because i was not expecting a TWSS joke and it was set up perfectly) and thinking, "okay, (mostly) no hard feelings".
had to look it up because i thought i was wrong and i was, the finale is the Dwight/Angela wedding AND the "exit" interviews after the documentary airs. i always think they're separate episodes.
Just laid around and watched a bunch of episodes today. I forgot how many great lines the murder game episode in season 6 has.
