Exactly. The Office and Parks and Rec both have pretty bad first seasons, and really find their footing by season 2.
I’ve watched through episode seven so far and I think it’s episode four that started to turn it around for me. The cast has good chemistry and I can see myself being endeared to these characters given more time.
Esmeralda is very annoying. I realize that's her character, but it's a bit much. Show is fine, don't see myself rewatching like the Office though.
“No, no, I love being ribbed. I love ribbing people. You look like Macaulay Culkin, now. You look like an asshole.” “A wise man once said you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Also an idiot I used to know.” I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this by the end. That trailer really did the show a disservice and I think I can see why they chose to drop the whole season all at once.
I didn’t even know this existed. Anybody watch it in here? https://collider.com/the-office-australian-remake-cancelled-after-1-season/

for physical media collectors, the Superfan cuts are coming out from behind the Peacock paywall and will be getting a (surprisingly well-priced) Blu-ray set in June. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GSWL2CT7/?tag=absolutepunk-20
i'm gonna say probably to seamless branching, no to the Koi Pond intro. the new versions show how willing they are to cut/exclude filmed material. the deleted scenes where Erin destroys Pam's painting weren't included in their respective extended cut. and they got rid of that godawful green screen shot of Erin in Florida from S8. it'd be interesting to have it, but i don't think they'd add it, especially since it wasn't in the version that aired on Peacock. one thing i do want them to fix is a small instance in the S6 premiere where Jim is showing the camera the parkour videos, but they forgot to remove the spot for green screening in one of the selected videos. it's a little reality-breaking, haha.
