Ramona Young's in this, and she was a pretty fun supporting character in Never Have I Ever. Like I said in the news thread, the trailer looks pretty average but they are kind of in a shit position to begin with. My wife and I are definitely gonna give a shot as fans of the original series though so we'll just have to see...
Greg Daniels Says He Chose Newspaper Setting for 'The Office' Spinoff Because They've 'Been Hollowed Out' by Economic Forces
they claim they're dropping it all at once because it supposedly tested well, but i don't think i've ever seen anyone adopt that method if a show is testing well besides Netflix (and even then, that's been their MO regardless of the quality of the show). gonna wait to see what the reception to this is like before i entertain watching.
yeahhhh so they want people to binge it because they know we will lose interest watching it weekly after the first 1 or 2 episodes.
I ain't mad about them doing this. Workplace comedies always take minimum of a few episodes for the cast to gel together, and if I'm going to decide to drop this, I'd rather do it in one night as opposed to over a few weeks.
Certified fresh… but I seem to not believe those ratings. And already picked up for a second season. I’ll give it a watch tonight before the game.
Poor Dwight. Finally got his dream job and then the company apparently folded shortly after. More time to run his beet farm I guess.
Watched the first two. Blew air out of my nose once or twice. Hoping the jokes get better the more we wear the characters in Probably too early to make this assessment, but I like that so far it almost feels a bit more like Parks & Rec in its optimism. The immediate theme of teamwork is nice - enjoyed seeing them split up into groups and desperately search for stories. Would love to see some big arcs down the road, maybe they publish an exposé on a person in power and fall into hot water over it or something
This is exactly what I didn’t like about it lol. Don’t get me wrong, I love Parks. But I like The Office because in its early seasons especially it’s just about people trying to make it through the fucking day.
Yeah historically sitcoms need time for things to come together. Peacock should have greenlit a full 24 episode season. I’m giving this a shot but first episode is not doing much for me. I know I need to stick with it to see if it improves by the nature of the format, so hopefully it pays off
