As a newspaper guy, was really hoping this would be good. But that trailer does not instill confidence.
Oscar looks to be the best part of it, from that trailer. But I don't think his exasperation with the camera crew can carry the entire show.
As someone who thinks s1-3 were the best of The Office, seeing Oscar like that is a huge turn off. I know basically all the characters became exaggerated cartoons of who they were in 1-3, but I hate that. While it fits with where the show went, it makes me not even want to check this out.
The first three (and really mainly two) seasons felt like they were mostly grounded in reality apart from Michael and Dwight, and that contrast was always part of the draw for me. I get none of that from the trailer.
i don't think it looks awful, but nothing about that trailer inspires any confidence that it's going to be good either
This trailer stinks, but also let's not forget that The Office didn't find its footing really until season 2. So maybe this will be similar. But also, I could see it getting cancelled after 1 season because I doubt it'll get Office type numbers, like they're most likely expecting/hoping.
trailer looks pretty bad but, the premise here of just turning around a local newspaper feels like it would be a better 90 min comedy than an entire series that will almost certainly be cancelled before they can tell the story they have planned. i'll still check it out.
The only new supporting cast I have seen before Is Eric Rahill. He was really funny in Let's Start A Cult. He reminds me of young Danny McBride a little bit. Edit Oh wait that one lady was the hotel manager in season 2 of The White Lotus
Does nobody in here know Tim Key? He starred in a perfect film that came out this year- The Ballad of Wallis Island | Rotten Tomatoes and has been in a ton of very funny English series! Highly recommended
I am convinced there is no way to make a funny trailer. I hated the new Naked Gun trailer and loved the movie, so I will give this a chance.
I get that it’s just an insignificant continuity error, but I find these kinds of things fascinating. And as someone who has watched the series countless times, I never once realized this discrepancy
