Chilli's has an Office themed commercial and they brought back some main-ish and some offshoot characters from the show. Looks like they grabbed: Kevin, Meredith, Jan, Hunter, Donna, "Tim Meadows", David Wallace, Marge, other warehouse guy, Kevin's office girlfriend, Sadik, and...... chair model lady?? lol (there are 4 different commercials in this video - main one at the end)
I have a 19 inch Michael Scott television set myself lol. But it's on my desk next to my computer monitors. ...it was my bedroom TV from high school until I was a senior in college, though. I don't know how I put up with that
Nothing wrong w a small tv. It’s a small tv you can’t see good from a seated position that Michael scottses it.
i like the premise and want the show to succeed, but i'm still not fully convinced it needs to be an Office spin-off. not sure how i feel about Oscar coming back
I didn’t hear of this before today so I’ll need to do some research yo understand better what this is so maybe some of my questions will be answered by doing that. Is Oscar returning or is it just the actor in a different role? How closely connected to The Office will this be story wise? How far in the future does this take place from when The Office ended because didn’t Oscar go into politics at the end of the series?
If it's literally the Dunder Mifflin docu crew I don't see how it wouldn't be the same character. Will give it a chance I guess but low expectations
it's him reprising the role, now an accountant for the newspaper, and not excited to see the documentary crew again years after the original show ended.
I hope there's a random moment in an episode where they unlock and open a storage closet and Toby or Ryan is in there working, looks at the camera for a second, and then the door closes just before they say a word.
the premise of this seems dumb enough to be fun, and yeah domhnall is a huge plus. i will absolutely check this out.
This is my exact thoughts as well, and then I also saw that Michael Koman is co-creator on this is as well. He worked on Late Night with Conan and then was executive producer on Nathan For You. Has it been reported or announced anywhere who is in the writing room for this? I am curious on that aspect of it as well. Wonder if they are doing writer-actors again like the original, I know in some of the anniversary writing about the show, it was stated by a few people working on The Office on how important it was that they had writer-actors.
Someone on a recent episode of the podcast “Scott Hasn’t Seen” wrote on it. Can’t remember who, so that’s no help. It’s been in the can for a bit and I think they said it’s 10 episodes.
I could have Googled my question since it gave me an answer to my question lol. The Paper also stars Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young and Tim Key. Duane Shepard Sr., Allan Havey, Nate Jackson, Mo Welch, Nancy Lenehan, Molly Ephraim and Tracy Letts will have guest roles. Ikumelo, Edelman, Rahill and Welch are also writers on the series.
