I hate the term 'Thursday' previews. If you are showing the movie across the country on Thursday, that's just opening day. Is it to make people feel special like they're getting a VIP sneak peak?

It's like 'pre boarding' at the airport. If people are getting on the plane, that's just boarding the plane first.

 

probably just carry over from when they legit used to only have 1 showing on Thursdays typically at midnight. not sure it's that serious

 

It is really obnoxious. Just say that it is opening day. They are beholden to still pretend it is Friday for some reason.

I hope this gets off to a hot start and I'd love to see some honest reactions / humility from the incel loser youtubers. But that I doubt.

Even if they liked the movie, they are not going to say it. It is difficult to get anybody to understand something when their salary depends on them not understanding it.

I did love Odysseus stringing his bow at the end and giving it his signature twang. Letting people he’s about to fuck them up

I’ll need to see this 4 or 5 more times before I can decide if I like it more than Oppenheimer.

This film’s score definitely doesn’t get anywhere close to Oppey’s, but it’s certainly louder

 

I was legit worried about seeing his face, haha.

 

Found it to be a little distracting and a bit much at certain times. But there were definitely scenes where they nailed it and it enhanced it.

 

The monster that attacks them in the channel after they avoid the whirlpool was weird. From the summaries I've read of the The Odyssey, it doesn't match that creature. It was tight, but one of my few complaints were that part and the Sirens were both kind of rushed. Though it's a 3 hour movie so I guess thats fair

As an animal lover, Polybus and Antinous really pissed me off. It felt great seeing them get taken out

 

good stuff. definitely need to see it a second time

 

the brief dog reunion made me tear up a little ngl.
