Pattinson is the one. What an amazing actor. loved this. Last 4 Nolan’s have been a series of masterpieces in my eyes. I was way more lukewarm prior to Dunkirk.
The bomb is a totally rational thing to be mad at, as it looked nothing like an atomic bomb. The cave scene in this was truly impressive filmmaking though.
I didn't really care for Leguizamo to be honest but that's just because his voice makes him unique so I found it hard for his character to blend in to the story. The whole cast was great. I also really, really liked the score and as alluded to, I thought the pacing was excellent and it never felt close to dragging or a 3 hour movie. And unlike most of ya'll, I didn't really care for Oppenheimer and felt that was every bit as long as it was, and that the structure of that story was mostly a failure (but different thread, and there was still plenty I liked so not being a hater). I definitely would like to see this again at theaters. An obvious duh, but definitely the kind of thing you go to the movies to see, even if you are an ardent 'my home is the best place to watch'. Not for this it's not.
I also appreciate that we didn't have to really see Safdie's face at all and it was just using his stature so Agamemnon could aura farm every time he was on screen lmao. I know there was outrage from the costume but I thought every time he was on screen was badass
