Thought this was really well done and looked great but some of it bounced off of me a bit. All the more horror/horror adjacent stuff was the best.
Had its moments, but thought this was only okay, especially after Oppenheimer. I could argue this is my least favorite Nolan film. Writing, dialogue and acting were a bit awkward and clumsy to begin too.
Walking out I heard someone say “not bad but I definitely would have cast someone else besides Anne Hathaway” and I was like uhh what??
this was so fucking good. felt bad for my wife, the dude next her was ripping ass the entire last act lmao
I enjoyed this a lot and the simplest and easiest compliment i can give right now is that it did not feel as long as the runtime.
Loved this. So many cool set pieces. Loved pretty much all the ship/sailing stuff. And then that final act is so satisfying.
totally didnt register that the servant girl was mia goth until i looked at the cast afterwards. so many people showed up in this. fuckin opie from SOA lol
