As someone who works in advertising, I can attest that it is far too common that 24 hours before work goes live there’s always someone that points something huge like that out. Many a panic and late nights because dozens of eyes missed something obvious.
Not that there was any doubt but it sounds like this is Very Fucking Good (very vague spoilers in some of these tweet threads I guess so be warned)
Love to see this movie holding strong at an 83 on Metacritic after 30 reviews. https://www.metacritic.com/movie/the-northman
This makes me think that I'd like to see a movie that has random actors and actresses just appear for no reason. I don't mean like cameo appearances so much as just there for a second, walking in a crowd, in the background somewhere. Like a Where's Waldo. Can't think of any movie that's done that.
Didn't Conan do that once where you're not supposed to notice it's him as an extra but it's Conan so of course you notice him
I mean, yeah, and that's kind of cool to think about, but not really what I mean. I want a movie that's almost like a social activity, where the entire audience is pointing and saying "Hey, isn't that?" But don't give them speaking lines or interact with the main cast or anything. It's like if Daniel Craig played Man At Table and was in the background eating dinner. I dunno, I guess that would defeat the purpose of making the movie if people aren't paying attention to the movie itself.
