I guess since he can't tour the album to keep the enthusiasm up, releasing one song at a time is another way to keep up interest in the new stuff for a longer period of time
Also i felt like the last album didn’t have the impact it deserved so it’s better to try something else.
I feel like they didn't tour on it enough, or maybe the label didn't promote them enough and book them on the right tours? I remember they did the John Mayer tour, a few headline tours and then the campaign ended.
I feel like they should've released the album three months earlier than they did. The record works in the fall, but it is best on summer nights and they should've played into that more.
I screen-recorded it when he played the studio versions of the new songs on IG live and I still bump them reguarly
Yes! Sunset On the Beltway one gave me instant chills. And now this one. Crazy good! The sneak peek snippets Martin showed us on IG live during quarantine made me think it would be similar vibe to the first album, but this teaser and promo photos has me thinking!
I was really hoping for a spring/summer release this time around (which still might happen of course). I remember listening to the singles all throughout summer 2018 and feeling kinda bummed that the album wasn't coming until September. Missed opportunity for sure.
Martin played Magic Trick for the first time on IG live earlier. Sound quality was bad, and it was acoustic, so I'll hold off deciding what I think until I hear the final track.
