Let's get mean again

 

One of my favorite albums of the year so far. Kinda all over the place but often strong Talking Heads vibes

 

I only really lurked the original AP thread but I really owe a lot to it for helping expand my horizons of what music could be

 

Yeah they put me on to a lot. There was legitimately something about them being mean and making fun of me that made me actively look into the music they talked about. @yung_ting was nice

 

Some other tracks from this year I’ve liked a lot

 

Same boat here, I used to post bad music and got ripped on and it forced me to expand my horizons quite a bit. I’m actually really appreciative for the tough love I got in there, can probably credit a lot of what I love to that thread!

Will post whatever doesn’t belong elsewhere in here and listen to everything else

 

That Orielles track is great but I didn’t love the album

 

I will listen to the rest later and decide whether you’re wrong or not

 

Orielles and Special Interest are both great, curious to hear the rest

we’ve been talking about this a bit in the post-punk thread, album rules

 

fyi that Special Interest track is not indicative of the rest of the album. Most of their shit is closer to Death Grips lol

 

The Zoe Polanski album is good

 

I’ve listened to both albums already!

 

Also the Ben Seratan album is incredible and the weave album has so many great melodies on it
