I recall them saying definitely no album this year but they would start playing new songs through the year. That was months ago though, so maybe they're further ahead on a new album.
Yeah Matt said late last year that there wouldn't be an album in 2016. Things can obviously change, but, until then, I'll continue to believe we won't get the album until next year.

Heard it LIVE last week when they played at the Greek in Berkeley. The instrumentals were insanely cool - specifically the drumming - but the vocals seemed to be a work in progress. It sounded like he was trying to hit notes / tempos/ melodies he wasn't used to doing
