I have always wanted The National to do a cover album of big pop songs. “Since U Been Gone” is at the top of my wish list.

 

I'd love to see that happen. And Kelly could cover Pink Rabbits.

 

I just got back to Texas after seeing them at Red Rocks. It was painfully cold but such a cool experience. Matt spent the end of Mr November screaming “beach week” and “fuck that guy.” Finally seeing Rylan played just about ruined me.

 

I've been lucky enough to see the ~final~ version of Rylan twice in the past couple of months.. Seeing ANY show at Red Rocks is like #1 on my bucket list

Would be cool to get a 7” with Rylan and Light Years. Or just a digital single. I really don’t care at this point lol

 

Man, this time of the year all I want to do is listen to this band. Also I just put them on shuffle with Anyone’s Ghost stuck in my head and that was the first song that came on out of like 100 songs. Also also Born To Beg is a phenomenal song that really grew to be one of my favorites lately.

 

Yeah it's snowing in Michigan so I'm gonna listen to this band exclusively today.

 

Agreed, winter is prime National listening season for me.

 

Pretty sure I listened to High Violet and Boxer exclusively during winter. No regrets

 

Some dude on Reddit met Bryan this week and he confirmed that Rylan will be on their new record, which should be finished in 2019. The poster's also 80% sure there was mention of a movie, something Bryan mentioned in an interview, too. Band turns 20(!) next year.

Hopefully Light Years is also on the new LP.

I’ve had high violet in rotation all week. Really fitting album for super cold night drives home from work

 

2 years apart. Same band, different album. As you can see I’ve changed a lot.
