No lie, Guilty Party is an easy essential track

 

I've only heard the first song they released from this and I think I only listened once. Don't remember it at all.

Carin at the Liquor Store is jumpin. Guilty party is pry my favorite slapper of the year. Can't wait to mosh to "system" at their Chicago show in December. We be pittin.

I found a sealed copy of that grey Vinyl Me Please pressing of Boxer in the used section of my record shop yesterday and I am jazzed.

 

Fuck. This has me so pumped. I really hope this isn't their last album though based on that bit towards the end.

 

I think they have one more in them. I say that every album cycle tho haha

 

damn that's nice. I just have the yellow one.

 

Anyone else getting impatient here?

 

Grizzly Bear holding me over quite well. Plus I've still got that War on Drugs album to listen to, so I'm cool for now. Still super excited.

 

Yeah, everything released lately is fixing me over, but I just know that this is going to take over everything when it does come out.

 

This is far and away my most anticipated record but there's more than enough to keep my busy - War on Drugs is phenomenal, I still haven't listened to Grizzly Bear all that much, sounds like Iron and Wine's latest is pretty good. I can wait another couple weeks if I have to.

 

this span of a month is really the pinnacle for mid/late 2000's indie rock fans, hahaha. between LCD, grizzly bear, the national, war on drugs...indie rock dudes that have complained for the last several years have nothing to complain about now, haha

 

Yeah, it's great, even more so when you factor in the earlier part of the year with BSS and Fleet Foxes coming back, Jay Som putting out the best album in the genre in the last few years...very good time to like indie rock again.

 

I take back what I said three posts up, just heard System Only Dreams on the radio and got unbelievably impatient for the record. GIVE IT TO ME NOW.

 

Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, Emperor X and Big Thief are probably my favorite albums this year. This is the only record likely to bump them all back. But post-SWB, we also get new Wolf Parade, Radiator Hospital, Destroyer and Alvvays, which will all be great too. I actually think this year has been the best for music since like 2010.
