I'm quite jealous of you in a weird way. I love that album so much, I wish I could go back and listen to it for the first time again.

 

I had basically this exact conversation with one of my coworkers, you couldn't really hear Matt very well on the work speakers. Feel like the lead single will draw in a lot of people, my coworker seemed interested

 

"The System Only Dreams..." is already an all-time favorite song from them I think

 

Also forgot how incredible "So Far Around the Bend" is

 

Honestly forgot this album was coming out next month. Other things in life have kept me occupied. Very stoked to have this in five weeks

 

They play system at work. I wasn't big on it to begin with but it's growing on me bc of that. I have to look forward to that bc the only other things we play are shitty remixes of chainsmokers songs

The best fucking band in the world

 

you told me to do this over a month ago and I did listen to High Violet immediately but I only listened to Trouble uuuh 30 minutes ago. I think my initial impression with HV was surprise at how minimalist it was in places compared to Boxer, and that one took a while to grow on me. But grow it did. Still don't know the track names to that one super well but Bloodbuzz Ohio and Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks are definitely standouts for me. Trouble Will Find Me is the most immediately I've connected with one of their albums, really incredible. The opener to that one is great, maybe my favorite besides Fake Empire. There was a specific line about "dead devotion" that floored me with how casually it was delivered and how fucking awesome it was lol. I also bought the CD for TWFM because I was sure I'd like it and the art work they paired for each song is really cool. Thx Kennedy
