Blehh. I have everything they ever pressed. But I can't justify getting Boxer again just to get that 7'. It better get its own release.

 

VM,P is fucking awesome and I don't have Boxer yet. Never gotten into the National, but figuring this is fate telling me it's about to happen.

 

Getting into High Violet for the first time these last two weeks, and its soooo good. I might like it initially better than both Alligator, and Boxer. Which is crazy.

Only really listened Pre-HV discography these last couple years. Idk why I never checked out HV, and TWFM. That's next.

 

Bloodbuzz Ohio and England are two of their best songs and by that association, two of the best songs ever.

So I think I might like Alligator more than Boxer at this point. Which I never thought I would say. That's no disrespect to Boxer though, they're both 10s

Lol, this album rollout is so damn long.

 

This album rollout has sucked. I remember so much more buzz around TWFM when it came out, I feel like the announcement there was only a two months in advance and not 4. I'm sure this album will be excellent, though.

 

it's been rough this go around

 

cant wait. wonder if the SWB sessions yielded any b-sides because National b-sides are better than most bands album tracks.

 

I have no doubt that it's going to be a great album, but the release just isn't even in my mind at the moment because it's so far away. Same thing goes for Grizzly Bear.

There's been so much exciting music released practically every week that the wait for this has sort of flown by for me. 5 weeks seems like nothing at this point.

 

Yea, I was frustrated when it was announced because it was so far away, but the distractions have been plentiful.

 

the single is doing really well on radio, seems like the long roll out has been worth it. I'm very excited though

 

I'm still really excited about this album but I'm not nearly as into either single as I thought I would be.

 

I'm still hyped, but there are plenty of things coming out in the meantime that will fulfill me until this thing drops.

I still haven't listened to any of the pre-release tracks, and I think I'm going to keep it that way. I can't remember the last time I've gone into an album completely blind.

 

They played the singles at my workplace and I almost dropped the plates I was carrying

 

same, the teenagers i work with were like "what the fuck is this shit" and i was like its The National! theyre great! much better when you can actually hear whats being said. hopefully one of them checked the band out but i doubt it.
