sweet lord the new song is so good!

 

I still have such a vivid memory of downloading a handful of songs from Boxer (from limewire??? I think lol) after seeing it praised so much on AP, listening to them and just being totally blown away. definitely an all time favourite album of mine

also IWasaCamera if ur out there thanks for always recommending the best stuff

 

I remember IWasaCamera being very lukewarm on High Violet and me being like ?????

 

High Violet is probably my least favorite of the post-Sad Songs albums. Still love it.

 

Oh for sure but that said every other album seems like their best to me every other listen

 

This is so true haha.

 

Boxer's up there as one of my favourite albums ever. Alligator isn't too far behind tbh.

 

There are five songs on Alligator that I love more than I love any one song on Boxer, yet I like Boxer more, so idk what that means

Yeah, mwY is definitely the only band I’ve followed through one of those because i usually don’t like the ones they do either. But the National bracket would be intense lol

What American rock bands have a better / more consistently good discography than this one?

 

Jimmy eat world and every time i die, that’s about it for me.

 

The Chariot and mewithoutYou are the only two I think come close for me, but I’m hard pressed to say they’re BETTER, just in the same ballpark (for me).
