Omg they played Mistaken for Strangers in Atlanta, now I get to wonder if this will finally be the year they play it when I see them
The band crushed it, that venue setup is pretty bad though in regards to getting a decent view of the band
Oh my god was it good. And that set was perfect. But true enough about sightlines, I'm not a Hamilton local, is that a normal venue for shows like that?
I’ve read a lot of complaints about the show yesterday. Kinda glad I bailed last minute. The same promoter put on a similar event with The National (and a much better line up) in Toronto last year and it was so poorly organized/laid out.
the only thing i wouldve added to make the dc show even more perfect wouldve been Not In Kansas. really really wanted to hear that one live, but it doesnt look like they've been playing it. Wasp Nest was gorgeous.
It's been played as recently as Montreal last week, Matt probably can't do that one every night! It's good to see they're mixing up setlists on this tour :)
oh yeah absolutely! I would never complain about seeing them! Kansas just might be my favorite from the new album so I was just purely hopeful haha. I can imagine it is probably hard to do that one live though, given the song structure and the verses.
Picked this up on vinyl today. It’s the first national record I’ve gotten into, and have really only listened to the last couple in entirety, but I love it so much already.
Got a face full of Matt last night and a nice reminder that they’re the best at this whole music thing
At the show tonight. Super excited, album has grown on me a ton. And a Courtney Barnett opener is obviously insane.
