Strand of Oaks and SVE are definitely up there. Didn't quite connect with U.F.O.F. like I did with Capacity.. Still really enjoy it though.

Still love BOCC and nearly forgot it came out this year. Feels like it's been ages.

also after that top five is young enough, dedicated, and good at falling. this year is stacked and ranking my top ten or so feels like an improbably cruel exercise

I keep forgetting about Good At Falling even though I think Wild is my actual SOTY. (Besides every song on this National record, I mean.)

I can’t believe this album only came out 12 days ago.

I'm just in love with this album. It's really reignited my love for this band. I went through a fairly prolonged spell without listening to them but I'm back baby!

Def top 5 of the year so far for me, probably will be by the time the year is done, too.

For those interested in 2019 Thus Far:

    1) Exit Under Angels - Silo's Choice
    2) UFOF - Big Thief
    3) Dedicated - CRJ
    4) I Am Easy to Find - The National
    5) Igor - Tyler
    6) SASAMI - SASAMI
    7) LEGACY! LEGACY! - Jamila Woods
    8) Dogrel - Fontaines D.C.
    9) Better Oblivion etc. etc.
    10) Radiant Dawn - Operators

Some of these albums I'll fall outta love with over the next 6 months, for sure.

I think it’s at least as good as their finest work.

Yeah sorry @josh- but I think you're way in the minority around here on that opinion

If you like the National, it’s the most National that’s ever been on one album :shrugs:

Is there a female member of the band now? Or does Matt sing her parts on live performances? Or do they just not play those songs (such as the title track)?

I like this album a lot, but I don't think I agree with this statement... unless you are simply saying it is their longest album...?

  19. I would imagine they'll have different guest singers on different legs of the tour, whatever works logistically!

At the moment if I had to pick one record of theirs to listen to for the rest of my life it would probably be this one.. Luckily I don’t have to pick and can enjoy all of their masterpieces forever.

Here’s a tough question for y’all. If you had to choose 16 tracks for a “greatest hits” album what’re you going with?

    2. Hard to Find
    3. I’ll Still Destroy You
    4. Guilty Party
    5. Carin at the Liquor Store
    6. Conversation 16
    7. Start a War
    8. Guest Room

Unrelated but I learned how to play "Slow Show" and when I'm not listening to this album I'm playing that song on guitar. Getting that tricky rhythm down is so satisfying.
