I feel the same way, normally anticipation gets the best of me but I woke up today and thought “woah, only more week!”

That being said, it can leak anytime now thx

 

I actually do okay with the anticipation UNTIL all of the reviewers and VIPs and BFDs and insiders all have their copies and are talking about how amazing it is. I understand the hows and whys of it and all but it does feel so arbitrary and exclusionary to be on the outside looking in when it feels like everybody and their mother already has the album.

I only get that treatment with two bands. And they’re not big ones. So I feel ya.

 

“Hairpin Turns” does nothing for me. Pretty forgettable. Loved the first two though.

 

I like the chorus, the verses are very shaky tho

 

none of the songs released so far have done much for me tho

 

that being said: Not in Kansas, Where is Her Head, and Rylan all sound right up my alley

I haven't heard the other singles, but this one I really like - maybe more than anything off swb

 

That’s wild since the stretch from I’ll Still Destroy You to the title track is the best part of any National album.

Did the thing. Glad I waited because I've spent a lot of money on this band in the last couple of months but this was worth it. Happy they didn't sell out immediately.
