SWB TWFM Boxer Alligator HV SSFDL S/T Top three are in constant flux, but every time I listen to SWB I lean closer and closer to considering it their peak. High Violet is the only one of the big 5 that I've probably come to like a little less than I once did, maybe because I think TWFM takes a similar formula and bests it in a huge way. Not identical albums obviously, but they're the two albums of theirs that I think are closest in sound to each other.
well I listened because I skipped Light Years love it. Nobody Else Will Be There with a female vocal twist. and Berninger's dance moves are the truth
I've listened exactly twice. Quite like it, strikes me as an odd choice for a single but I'm glad it wasn't another song they've played live before. Waiting for the album before I really dig into it.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...the-national-were-the-sound-of-the-apocalypse I feel like bands talk about breaking up and half the time it’s a promo strategy lol
Was anyone able to successfully grab tix to the Union Transfer show? I kept refreshing but they never showed as on sale. Only "Sold out" before 10am general sale or now "Tickets currently not available" EDIT: I got them and I am screaming like a tween. The National are my JoBros
If these guys want a break for a bit after the IAETF cycle is done, they've earned it. We weren't even supposed to get an album this year.
Yeah i hope they do another Homecoming Fest next year and then take a breather after the 2020 election when they’ll be asked to campaign in Ohio. They definitely deserve it.
So i only got to hear the songs that are in the film but they were all incredible. the female vocals are beautifully implemented, this will definitely be their least Berninger-centric ever but the balance is there oh and Rylan, as expected, is GOAT
There's been so many great-incredible records recently (especially the last two weeks) that the wait for this has been far more bearable than expected. We'll see how that sentiment holds up now that we're into the final stretch.
