Yeah, that post gets an eyeroll from me lol. It's not my favorite national album, but it's still very good

 

I think it's mostly bad, but I'm still excited for this.

 

i took that post as in jest but it also isn't far from accurate. it has maybe three essential National songs and a lot of their worst songs in over a decade. im still excited for this. they can still pull off something great i believe.

 

Yeah I find most of the last album to be unmemorable, but there are a few gems on there for me

there was a last album? I just thought they skipped 8 and went to 9 cause 7 8 9. see that's how unmemorable the last album was.

 

The last album is made worse by the fact that the best song on it is the KEXP version of "Rylan" that isn't actually on the album.

 

the last one is really one of my favorites and one of my most listened to albums in the last five years lol
