I do! higher hit rate on IAETF imo. I respect the swings on SWB but it has some absolute stinkers for me
Hmm maybe I’ll give it another try, it just never really does anything for me outside of like, Quiet Light, Rylan, Soul, Light Years, and Kansas
For me, IAETF doesn't quite have the energy or fresh ideas to sustain its hefty runtime but it does have a ton of incredible songs on it.
SWB is better as a whole than easy to find, but that's more about how highly I rate beast. I'd put both over anything that isn't Boxer and Alligator. You Had Your Soul With You, Quiet Light, Rylan, and most especially the incredible title track are as good as just about anything that came before and better than everything that has come since
Here’s how I’m feeling right now. SWB has fallen off for me lately. Tier 1 Alligator; Trouble Will Find Me Tier 2 Cherry Tree EP; Boxer; High Violet; Laugh Track Tier 3 Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers; Virginia EP; Sleep Well Beast Tier 4 I Am East to Find Tier 5 Self-titled; First Two Pages of Frankenstein
Tier 1: Boxer, Trouble, Beast, High Violet Tier 2. Alligator, Virginia EP, Cherry Tree Tier 3: Sad Songs, Frankenstein Tier 4. Easy To Find Tier 5: S/T
Oh boy. Laugh Track debuted tonight in the encore in Leeds. If I hear that tomorrow I'm definitely crying.
I was given IAETF like 2 or 3 months before it was released and two days before my wedding so my wife and I listened to it non stop before and at the honeymoon so I have an absurdly special place in my heart for it.
Been listening to Easy To Find a lot the last few days. Anyone else feel like “HER FATHER’S VOICE, HER MOTHER’S HEARTBEAT, THE ORANGE COLOR INSIDE HER EYELIDS” is just super jarring? Always felt like that song was just incredibly out of place. The majority of the album is growing on me more though.
I made a playlist without the interludes / deleted them and that’s how I’ve always listened to that album
