Is “Laugh Track” the name of the companion album? Does this imply that the canned laughter is directed towards Frankenstein? ‘Cause if so, rude!

 

Both of the two singles were good enough that I’m excited for a new record, but not into the title or artwork at all

 

I can't remember what that tracklist that was floating around a while ago actually said, but it looks like "Weird Goodbyes" did make the cut, and at Track 3, which I don't remember any of the leaked info saying.

Unless I'm misremembering it seems like they got the songs right but not the tracklist.

I'd lose it if the album was a literal laugh track of the band. Too bad it's not April...

 

It's funny to me that on Reddit there is a ton of conversation about the album art and name of the album, most of it pretty negative, and almost no discussion of how cool it is that we're getting an entire new album of music so soon.

 

Fandom subreddits are the worst fucking thing to have ever existed.

An echo chamber of fans who only want their favorite whatever to operate only in the way they want and not deviate from it.

 

Spoiled fans. This band really is great to its fans, and while I don't love First Two Pages (it's my least favorite album of theirs since before Alligator) I'm really into the first two singles from the new one and excited for it.

 

Yeah, I became exhausted by people complaining about production on the Gaslight Anthem subreddit. It's like, we never knew if the band would ever come back and release new (awesome) music. Spoiled!

 

Which that discussion has occurred here but probably with more civility.

 

What's wild too is seeing that some have already received the signed album on vinyl!! What a time.

 

First Two Pages of Frankenstein has only gotten better and better for me over time, with the exception of "Tropic Morning News" and the second Phoebe Bridgers collab, but I fell in love with both of these two new singles almost immediately after hearing them. I cannot wait to hear the rest of what is on this new one.

The National still haven’t apologized for working with Taylor Swift nor have they rebuked her fans becoming National fans, so it’s expected that we will not happily praise them for their music and artwork choices while this dispute is ongoing.

 

I haven't been lucky enough to catch them live or anything, but they just seem to be having so much fun lately and I love it

 

My head is spinning. So much good music coming out all at once. The end must be near.

 

Laugh Track is a great album title tho
