Heavenfaced is really the only song on TWFM that I think about skipping, but I don’t skip songs. If I’m putting on an album, I’m going start to finish.

I’ll be honest and say I don’t skip any National songs. I also don’t report anyone to the FBI for listening to Fireproof.

 

Also the best from the album live. I loved it in 2014, loved it last night.

It's got this creeping, menacing vibe to it that I just love, and that they've never quite captured in any other song quite like they do in that one.

 

Humiliation may be one of their best songs. It is definitely the best song in their catalogue to not get the live set list or general fan list love.

 

I was obsessed with Trouble immediately but something about Humiliation never clicked with me, but at some point over the years it did. I love it, it's just not my favorite on the album but yeah that checks out. It also has some of my favorite lyrics, I love how vivid and noir-y it is and is also kind of hilarious.

 

Heavenfaced is very skippable but that’s about it

Slipped is one of the best on the album and yeah Humiliation is top 3

 

Tonight was the closest to the TWFM tour in terms of energy and performance. Holy shit.
