because it's a song called Guest Room from Boxer or am I being stupid not being able to detect a joke here...
What could a mannequin head with a Hello label sticker mean, in the context of album or artwork themes? Paul is a guy trapped in his own head and out of his own body? Starting from scratch? Introducing one’s self, new you not being realized yet (no body or customization to default head)? The album’s name is Paul/Paul is said in the lyrics of the first single and mannequin heads are funny/cryptic/cool?
This is the way - thought I would give Boxer another shot. But that holy trinity is untouchable. Every mood, every feel, every season. I wish I liked IAETF but I don’t hate it - it just doesn’t reach the highs of the trinity.
I don’t know how you don’t reach a certain age in life, working any job, and not feel everything that Boxer is about.
spotted: Once Upon a Poolside is either the new single with Weird Goodbyes as a b-side or the title track from the new record. https://www.reddit.com/r/TheNationa...ndroidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Once Upon a Poolside would make sense as an album title given that the artwork for Weird Goodbyes was a pink floating doughnut.
I wonder what's coming today. You'd think that if there was an announcement or a radio play they'd post something.
There has to be some kind of surprise physical release, no? It seems weird to use record stores to do viral promotion for a streaming single.
If they are somehow doing a surprise physical release and not including Shake It, from their hometown, I'll be upset
