Are we trying to neg the National into releasing this faster?

 

I have pretty much complete opposite opinions on this band of the rest of you

Most days, alligator or SWB is my favorite, but honestly i see an argument for all but S/T and Easy.

 

I've said it a million times but IAETF fucking rules and is sometimes my favorite of theirs

 

There are no bad national records

 

Team High Violet/ TWFM

 

High Violet i like less than most people but viewed as their arena rock record i come to like it more and more.

 

I like all of their albums to varying degrees, but the run from Boxer to Sleep is truly exceptional.

 

I'm admittedly biased as HV really got me into the band.

 

My first National songs were Conversation 16, England, and Bloodbuzz back in 2012.

 

IAETF the song is a 15/10 and should single-handedly kill the swb castoffs theory

 

first time I heard them was when my friend played me Boxer

a truly magical experience

 

My National hot take is that I'm not in love with Boxer the way everyone else is and actually prefer Alligator

 

If I remember correctly one of their last year's interviews, someone from the band said the new record would have 'the sound that goes back to classic The National sound'.

My hot take is if I’m going to listen to the National right now I’d pick IAETF then trouble will find me then high violet and that’s probably it. Haven’t listened to any of the others in forever.
