Finally got around to listening to this this morning and really enjoyed it. It was on in the background while I was getting myself and my kids ready, so I wasn't listening super closely, but it kind of did for me what that CHVRCHES record did last year.

 

Finally saw these guys live last night. Their voices are really amazing. However, I wish the band was louder / had more punch. I was also surprised at the lack of stage décor / light show of any kind. Very bare bones setup, especially for a synth pop band.

 

Hmmm, when I saw them last October they had an amazing lighting setup. Was this an outdoor show? If indoor, maybe they just wanted to save money on tour expenses, or something

 

It was indoor. Very light on merch too. I wonder if their gear just isn't ready yet / it's arriving at a certain date of the tour or something.

 

Yeah, the three times I have seen them it's been a big production with lights

 

Strange. Part of me feels robbed, the other part feels like I got a unique, more stripped down show.

 

Show I saw them at was an off show from the blink-182 tour a little bit ago and it was a similar deal. They played a headlining set, but it wasn't as orchestrated as most similar headlining sets are.

Maybe it's a similar thing and they're just not really on a headlining tour?

So super interesting, it's actually a stripped back version of "Heart Like Ours"

 

On Instagram them call it "The next song in the stripped series"

Has anybody figured out when this "Stripped" album will be released?
