I wish this was good haha.

 

I do too haha, to be fair I haven't seen it, I may be entertained by it, but it doesn't sound as well made as it should be. but that doesn't mean the rest of the films will be poor either. we can hope they listen to the criticism and work harder going forward

at least this means they (hopefully) won't touch the Mummy ride at Universal

 

It does end with a credit card for Universal Studios, so I would think it's safe.

 

I read "credit card for Universal Studios" quickly and my mind jumped to this:

 

I would imagine a goth card to be something completely different

 

I meant more along the lines of them changing it to add Tom Cruise etc

i will defend this man as one of the top "non-Oscar bait movie" actors in hollywood until the end

 

The best action star for sure

 

Cruise is great. Even if this movie is a dud, I'd be willing to bet he's the best part of it.

 

I doubt he'll get the blame. It's all on the writers for basically making a camel of a movie.

I just can't get past the fact that the mummy looks just like FFTL era Sonny Moore.

This looks like horse shit and not even in the funny "i'll wait til $5 Tuesday to see it." It just looks straight up bad. It really just makes me want to re-watch the Brendan Fraser one instead.

Not really that spooky.

 

I'm seeing It Comes At Night tomorrow so I don't really know yet, but it really feels like you went in expecting something different...

I remember similar comments made about The VVitch.

 

Not at all. I loved "The Witch" and "It Follows" and pretty go crazy over any A24 release. This one is spooky for the first third then loses steam. We'll talk about it more when you see it.

To be fair, it's gotten great reviews. Just didn't stick with me at all.
