The Mummy (Alex Kurtzman, June 9th, 2017) Movie

I'm down. Excited for the full trailer.

 

No Brendan Fraser, no care!!

 

I hope it's good.

 

This looks like such shit

 

I like Tom Cruise, but I would genuinely be more excited for a Brendan Fraser Mummy movie. Also the "Monster" universe is a clown show that will fail.

 

Will be giving this a chance. Looks action packed from the trailer.

 

It looks like a Mission Impossible spinoff directed by a 13 year old Michael bay who likes mummies

 

Man, that trailer makes me want the campiness back.

 

I think it looks fun. I'm always down for more scenes of Tom Cruise running ha.

 

Wish that trailer had any sort of levity at all in it

 

was more bombastic action than I was perhaps expecting. Hearing he was doing The Mummy I was excited for him to go back into the monster world since Interview With A Vampire. I like the twist in the trailer though and they've said they are aiming for creepy. So while the trailer was one thing, it's possible there could be more to it. I know I was very surprised with was Edge of Tomorrow was. The trailers did not do that movie justice.

 

The trailer without finished sound is way funnier than it should be

 

right?! I came here to talk about it and am bummed more people aren't talking about it. So funny.

They didn't really nail the non-campy, darker tone if that's what they were going for.

This looks probably just as dumb.

 

Also the decision of including "Paint it Black" in that trailer didn't do them any favors.
