Seconded this. They're basically one of the best of the early-00's punk/pop-punk bands. Vinnie was also on "This Will Be The Death of Us" by Set Your Goals, a band and a song that owes a pretty sizable debt of influence to The Movielife.
I remember seeing Set Your Goals do a Movielife cover set at Bamboozle with Vinnie on vocals. Before they reunited I thought that was the closest we were gonna get.
I saw them a couple weeks ago in Boston and it was only Vinnie and Brandon from the original lineup, they didn't even have a second guitarist. So I'm interested in seeing who played on this.
listen to that whole album 40 Hour Train Back To Penn, SYG and PBC both took a ton of influence from the band/album, along with other bands from the scene/time
Tracklist added to OP. Surprised Future Feeling isn't on here. I'm kind of glad it isn't since I thought it was just ok
If you are interested in hearing an example of The Movielife listen to their songs "Face or Kneecaps" or "Ship To Shore". I don't think Vinnie's other band I Am The Avalanche or solo stuff was that much different either. I'd suggest "Two Runaways" by IATA and Vinnie's solo album "I don't believe you" and "you don't have to die alone".
veryy into this and also very interested to see how it sounds....part of me is expecting something in the vein of just another IATA record, which wouldnt be BAD, but just interested to see how much of the old movielife sound they bring back.
Yeah I guess I'm not expecting anything drastically different from IATA which is perfectly okay with me who knows though!
